Product ad review: preserve the item and check the claims

A practical Product Ad brief and export checklist for product accuracy, headlines, and unsupported promotional badges.

SocialThumbPro teamStudio workflow guides

01List facts that the artwork must preserve

Choose a clear approved product photo and write down the model, colour, material, included accessories, and any verified benefit. Separate those facts from a styling request. “Soft studio lighting” is styling; “waterproof” is a product claim.

SocialThumbPro’s Product Ad tool provides product, ad text, details, style, and advanced instruction fields. Use them to describe the actual item rather than requesting a generic premium product that only resembles it.

02A fictional brief for an insulated bottle

The example below is a reusable brief, not a real listing or a measured advertising result. Replace the item and claim with your own approved information.

Instructional example

Product: Example Brand — matte green 500 ml bottle
Ad text: YOUR DAILY BOTTLE
Details: Show the bottle closed, with the original lid and logo placement. No added accessories.
Advanced instructions: Neutral light background, product on the right, readable headline on the left. Preserve the uploaded colour and shape. Do not add temperature-retention hours, waterproof claims, stars, warranties, or discount badges.
Layout: Square feed creative.

03Compare the output with the reference

Check the lid mechanism, silhouette, colour, label, and accessory count. A convincing render can still show a different item. If an important feature changes, use an approved product cutout in an editor or revise the brief; do not publish it because the lighting looks better.

Then read every visible claim. Remove an invented certification, star rating, warranty, or customer quotation. The prompt can ask the model to avoid these details, but it cannot certify the result.

04Review the placement and record the variant

Check the exported dimensions and view the image at a small size. Keep the call to action separate from the main product. A vertical placement may need a different composition so a platform overlay does not obscure the offer.

Save the approved creative, its brief, and a version label together. If you later measure advertising performance, record the audience, dates, spend, and reported metric. Do not attribute a sales improvement to a mockup or to a design change without supporting evidence.

Key Takeaway

Make the item recognisable and the claims verifiable. Treat AI artwork as a draft that needs product and editorial review.
